New World Spear And Bow PVP Build

Comments · 947 Views

The Spear and Bow thrust build was extremely well-liked during the open beta phase and will likely be a strong build as we move towards the full launch of the game.

This is an extremely flexible build that excels in some crucial areas. You can take both melee and ranged damages and is suitable for PvP and expeditions, and also has a fair amount of sustenance and control. This is a look at the most powerful masteries of each weapon.

The Spear Bow combine very well , providing an abundance of CC potential, zoning (with Spear) and solid range. Both weapons offer additional damage over time skills, combined with a concentration on debuffs. This allows us to gain a number of percent damage amplifying effects that are based on the ability to maintain those debuffs. The bow is difficult to hit shots when playing in PvP, however, once you've got your focus down, the power of this weapon is not locked!

Remember this: PvP builds are extremely individual. This is the way that worked for ME. If you don't like something about it, modify it to fit your playstyle.

Equipment Load (Medium) Medium armor, in my opinion is the most appropriate load of equipment for the build. This is the best of all possible options and gives us a decent number of armour, a good dodge (which you get 3 of) and 10 percent damage and healing boost as well as the ability to add 10% in our ability to control crowds.

Name/Set: We utilize an array of set types to ensure that we reach the maximum dexterity perk (300) without too much overflow since the scaling dramatically drops following that point. When there's no reason to believe that more dexterity is required, health is the priority to boost our defense capabilities. You are able to mix and match the sets as you'd like, as long your dexterity remains close to 300. it is possible to be with the rest of your constitution.

Perks: Because New World is still a new game, and players are still in the process of getting to level 60, it's still an issue to worry about a perfect perk optimizer. When more players reach the final game stage and getting max level gear, this section of the charts will update with the most beneficial perks to the player's build!

Gems: To make this setup we chose a mix of Malachite along with Diamond gems inside the armor. This will give us boosts physical damage reduction and elemental damage absorption, giving us an even range of damage reduction for both physical and magical weapons. Malachite is used to increase damage when targeting targets with a crowd control (due because of the spear's long CC uptime), while the Emerald can help us execute opponents on our bow bar.

TIPS AND ROTATIONS

From a distance, your aim is going to maintain Poison Shot at your foe. Also, you can use Penetrating Shot when you cool down. Utilize Evade Shot to be able to stop your opponent from attacking and make them move further away.

When you are close to your opponent, you can open by kicking them with Vault Kick. Follow it up with a Sweep and then apply the bleed using Skewer. From there, use your lighter attacks to begin decreasing your cooldowns.

As you start taking damage, use your regeneration potion. This will maintain your health.

If you suffer a massive blow to your body, you can use this potion for health to recover!

If you are in a urgent need of health and your potion is in the process of cooling down, take a distance from your opponent and eat food. If you don't suffer any damage then your health will rapidly replenish. Once your health gets to an acceptable level or the potion comes off of cooldown, you are free to return to the battle!

A ranged weapon with a fast-firing speed that provides a deadly combination of Single Target and AoE damage, while also offering a nice boost to movement (in terms of passive abilities and active abilities). It is a powerful weapon with a damage-per-burst potential and can unleash devastating damage over time results to multiple target at a time. For this build, we focus on the damage of the burst and its time-based damage effects but limit it to a minimum level of crowd control.

Active Skills:

Rapid Shot (Hunter): Fires three arrows in a single burst that deliver 100% weapon damage each and the third one is able to deal 125% damage to the weapon and can trigger knockback. This is an extremely powerful skill that lets you deal a great burst of single-target damage or spread the damage among up to three opponents. You should consider both of its passives in conjunction with it as they improve damage, and possibly reduce Rapid Shot's cooldown by half, which is insane.

"Poison Shot (Skirmisher) Poison Shot (Skirmisher): An AoE skill that creates three meters of poisonous gas that lasts for 6 seconds. Any enemies that get in the cloud will be poisoned with 10% damage from weapons per second for 20 seconds. This skill is among the longest DoTs available in the game. You can't skimp on it. You should also take both of the passives for even better DoT and a little more damaging bursts.

"Rain of Arrows" (Skirmisher) It's a potent ground-based AoE skill that shoots a barrage of arrows at the target area. It's great for Expeditions because it can do wonders against groups of enemies. it's less effective when playing single-player PvE However. Should you enhance it using its passives (and you should), it will also apply an DoT that will slow enemies down. If you prefer playing as a solo player or would like the build to be more effective in PvP You should switch Rain of Arrows for the Evade Shot.

Core Passives:

Concussion (Hunter) This, Headshots made with a Bow cause 20% more damage. All you need to do is aim well.

Bullseye (Hunter) Bullseye (Hunter) increases the Critical Strike Chance for any Bow shoots by 10%, which is universally great. This passive requires and it happens to be an excellent one - Arrow Range that increases the arrow's flatness (it moves longer before it starts to be altered by gravity).

(Hunter): Long range (Hunter): With this ability, you take 20% additional damage for enemies who are at minimum 10 meters away. This is a "free" 20 percent damage boost, but you must pay attention to your range.

Battle Precision (Skirmisher): This passive makes damage and debuffs on Time effects last 20 percent longer. It also makes Poison Shot along with Rain of Arrows much more efficient.

A fun, easy-to-use weapon for melee with a high reach and a deadly mix of buffs, damage over time effects, and sustained damage. Spear works well in combination with a Bow as both utilize Dexterity as their main stat , and their skills complement themselves exceptionally well. As a weapon that can be used in melee, Spear isn't easy to master and requires some practice but the benefits are well worth the effort. This build will are focusing on the Impaler tree, which can maximize sustained damage through cutting down cooldowns as well as increasing DoTs.

Active Skills:

Perforate (Impaler) It is a technique that delivers three rapid strikes that pierce your target for 70% damage. It also adds Rend, which is a debuff which reduces the target's damage absorption by 5% over 10 seconds. It is your Spear opener, as using it first can make the other two spear skills deal more damage. It is recommended that you use both the passives that are corresponding to double efficiency against wounded enemies and stagger effect after landing three strikes on the same victim.

Skewer (Impaler) A charge-like skill with the ability to impales your Target to 125% weapon damage . It also provides a 10-second Bleed effect with 10% damage to the weapon per second. This is a great way to sustain damage, especially when combined with all three of its associated passives.

Vault Kick (Impaler): A stunning blow that deals 75% damage to weapons. You may believe that this ability is not worth the effort until you discover that its Continuous Motion passive decreases cooldowns of all other Spear skills by 30 percent (! ), and its Relentless Blows passive grants you an additional 20% damage boost against enemies below 50 percent health. This should be used after using your other two Spear abilities.

Core Passives:

Refreshing Reach (Zoner) This passive helps your Heavy Attacks that succeed with the Spear reduce all Spear Cooldowns by fifteen percent. With this, if you perform a single Heavy Attack after you use the Vault Kick then you'll be rewarded with the Cooldown reduction of 45% which is a total joke.

Revitalizing Jabs (Impaler) Another cooldown-reducing passive. This one cuts 10% off all your Spear Skill Cooldowns once you take a second strike with your light attack chain.

Exacerbating Crits (Impaler) Starting from today you will be able to have your Critical Hits extend the duration of your Spear Debuffs or DoTs to 20%. This passive is a must-have because it makes all your skills more effective.

Exploited Weakness (Impaler): This one grants +10% damage with each debuff applied to the target with a maximum of +30% Damage. It is easy to apply multiple debuffs at the same time without breaking your rotation, so this is essentially free damage.

First and foremost, you should try to get 250 total Dexterity point (which means just 50 constitutional points). However, this does not mean that you have to use all of your points for Dex and buy all Dex gear - If you not only do Expeditions but also play Solo or enjoy battle from time-to-time you might want to consider purchasing a little more Constitution. For weight, you should use Light/Medium armor to get the more damage they can provide.

We are obviously going to revise this guide when the full game launches, and we have more time to get familiar with all of the Perks as well as Gems and specific attributes of higher rarity equipment. Any modifications to this guide will be noted on at the top of the page in the build notes.
